Induction to Knock & Point

Date: Thursday, 22 January 2015
Author: Rev David M Blunt

After the translation of Rev James Clark to Inverness and a vacancy lasting just over two years the Knock & Point congregation on the Isle of Lewis is to be settled with a new minister.

Following trials which were sustained by the Presbytery of the Outer Hebrides the Ordination of Rev Alasdair J Macleod and his Induction to the pastoral charge of Knock & Point will take place at Knock & Point Free Church (Continuing), Garrabost, Isle of Lewis, on Friday 30th January at 7.00pm (D.V.). There will be a reception afterwards in Sandwick Hall.

The Moderator of Presbytery, Rev Kenneth Macdonald, will preach and preside at the service. Rev Greg MacDonald, Cross will address the new minister and Rev Graeme Craig, Stornoway will address the congregation.

All are warmly invited to join with the congregation for this important and happy event. Anyone travelling from a distance and requiring assistance with accommodation should contact the local elders – Mr Donald Buchanan (01851 870426) or Mr Calum MacLeod (01851 701310).

Please pray for the Lord's blessing upon the occasion and particularly upon the new minister and the congregation.
