Spanish Pastor's Visit To Scotland

Date: Wednesday, 22 January 2014
Author: Rev William B Scott

Pastor Jorge Ruiz, from Spain, is a minister of the Christian Presbyterian Church. His congregation is in two parts, one part in Bilbao on the North Coast, and one part in Miranda de Ebro, some two hours drive inland. He is on a Trinitarian Bible Society committee with other language specialists, working on a new version of the Spanish Bible.

DV, he is making a brief visit to Scotland arriving on the 3rd February. The next day he is expected to visit our Seminary, our lecturers and students in Inverness. He is keen to sit in on a Psalmody Seminar with the students as his congregation is exclusively non-instrumental Psalm singing, using the old Genevan melodies. That Tuesday evening he is expected in Tarbat, Portmahomack, and the next day (Wednesday the 5th) in the evening at Snizort in Skye. Then on the Thursday the 6th in Edinburgh, before returning to his loved ones and congregation in Spain

We trust that the Lord will bless this visit to our Brother and our own people.
