24 March Dores Youth Conference

Dores Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) are holding a short conference on Saturday 24th March from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm aimed at young people. Rev Kenneth Macdonald, will explain what the Bible says about the Christian life as a race, (DV).

Duthil Dores

This is a free conference for all young people aged 11-18 years.

There will be time for questions, meeting old friends and making new ones! If the weather is reasonable, we may spend some time outdoors during lunch break, so please wear a sensible pair of shoes and bring a warm jacket.

24 March Beers' Farewell

A farewell service and presentation have been arranged by the Ayr FC(C) congregation to mark the departure of their minister Rev Gavin Beers and his family. Mr. Beers has accepted a Call to Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Mebane, USA, and will be inducted into his new charge on the 4th of May. The farewell service will be held at 7 Lyndsay Street, Ayr, KA8 9QE, on Saturday 24th March beginning at 3:00 pm.

The Southern Presbytery will meet, D.V., in Shettleston Free Church, Glasgow, on Monday 26th March 2018 at 7.00pm for ordinary business and the Election of Commissioners to the General Assembly.

The Presbytery of the Outer Hebrides will meet (D.V.) in Stornoway Free Church (Continuing) on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 at 7.00pm for Ordinary Business and Election of Commissioners to the General Assembly.

13 April Poolewe & Aultbea Induction

At their meeting on 20th February, the Free Presbytery of Inverness resolved that the ordination and induction of Rev Murdo Maciver to the congregation of Poolewe & Aultbea should take place at Gairloch Community Centre at 7.00 pm on the evening of Friday 13th April, to be followed by a reception to be held in Poolewe Village Hall.

Directions to Poolewe Village Hall.  After the service in Gairloch Community Centre turn left out of the car park. After passing the Police Station on your left turn left again at the road junction and continue approximately 5-6 miles towards Poolewe. Continue over the River Ewe bridge. The hall is then on your right-hand side facing Loch Ewe.

21-24 May General Assembly

GAPoster2012The next General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) will meet (DV) at Liberton Kirk, Kirkgate, Edinburgh, EH16 6RY, on Monday 21st May 2018 at 6.00pm.

All are welcome to attend as visitors. It is expected that the Assembly will conclude on the Thursday afternoon.

14-21 July Free Church (Continuing) All-Age Holiday

The annual Free Church (Continuing) All-Age Holiday will be held at the Windmill Christian Centre, Arbroath, from 14th to 21st July (inclusive) DV.  Day visitors are welcome to attend.

Rev John W Keddie will be the speaker.  Mr. Keddie will speak on, 'The Seven Sayings of Christ on the Cross' during the week.

3-6 September 66th Free Church School in Theology

The 66th Free Church School in Theology, known affectionately as the Summer School in Theology, is almost upon us.


Speakers and subjects have been chosen and all is set for brethren to gather at the delightful Carronvale House, Larbert, on 3rd to 6th September (DV).


The School is an opportunity for men of a Reformed persuasion to gather in a congenial and relaxed location to enjoy sound biblical teaching and experience christian fellowship.
