Through its Home & Foreign Missions Committee the Church supports the work of the Reformed Protestant Mission in Sri Lanka. Rev Shanmugam N V Partheepan, a native of Sri Lanka, studied at the Free Church Seminary from 2007 to 2011 and was ordained to the pastoral ministry in 2011 for missionary service in Sri Lanka. The Mission began in 2012 and is based in Vavuniya, a large town in the Northern Province. Services are also held in Mullaitheevu, approximately 80km north-east of Vavuniya, where a new place of worship was opened in 2017.
Places of Worship:- Vavuniya: church at Mannar Road, Veppamkulam, Vavuniya, Sri Lanka. Mullaitheevu: church at Vattapalai Road, Puthukudieruppu, Mullaitheevu, Sri Lanka.
Sabbath Services:- Vavuniya: 8.00am and 4.30pm. Mullaitheevu: 9.00am and 4.30pm.
Sabbath School:- Vavuniya: 3.00pm; also Friday at 6.00pm. Mullaitheevu: 3.30pm.
Prayer Meetings:- Vavuniya: Friday at 6.00pm. Mullaitheevu: Wednesday at 5.00pm.
Other Information:- In Vavuniya there is a Youth Fellowship Bible Study each Sabbath at 6.30pm and a Ladies’ Meeting on the last Friday of the month at 5.00pm. In Mullaitheevu there is an Adult Bible Study on Wednesday at 4.00pm and a Youth Bible Study on Wednesday at 6.00pm.
