The 2003 General Assembly authorized the Home & Foreign Missions Committee to appoint a Home Mission Worker, who under the direction of the Committee and with the authorization of Presbyteries would “target areas of opportunity and need”. The Home Mission Worker would be available to assist in local congregational mission where required and as a colporteur would have to hand a stock of Bibles, tracts and books.

On 21st October 2003, Mr. Donald John Morrison was appointed as a Home Mission Worker for an initial period of three years, and he continues in this role. Based in Inverness, his labours take him throughout Scotland, sharing the gospel of Christ with people on the high street, on their doorsteps and wherever the Lord provides him with an opportunity. He is able to distribute large quantities of evangelistic literature yearly, including thousands of copies of the Church’s Good News magazine and Words of Life calendars from the Trinitarian Bible Society.

Please pray for the Lord’s blessing on Mr Morrison’s work, that He may be pleased to use it to the salvation of many souls.
