Skye Open Air Witness
The Free Presbytery of Skye & Lochcarron commenced their summer season of Open-Air preaching and tract distribution in Portree Square today.
There was a prayer meeting in the Free Church (Continuing) Hall at 2.30 pm when those engaged in prayer sought the Spirit of Lord to go before and bless His word to any with whom contact was made. An array of gospel literature in many languages in addition to English was given to those who would distribute and converse with the many tourists and locals visiting the Isle of Skye on holiday.
A service began at 3 pm with the singing psalm 100 and prayer. Local ministers, Revs Murdo A Macleod (Snizort), Raymond Kemp (Staffin), and Richard Ross (Portree) preached from various Scripture passages. Members from the Congregations of Portree, Snizort, Staffin and Waternish helped to distribute literature and engage with men and women about their never dying souls. There were many listeners and some good conversations were had.
