23 March Dores Youth Conference

Dores Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) is holding a short conference on Saturday 23rd March from 11:15 am to 3:00 pm aimed at young people. Rev. Murdo Angus MacLeod will speak about evidence for creation in humans and animals from a Biblical point of view, (DV).

Duthil Dores

This is a free conference for all young people aged 11-18 years.

There will be time for questions, meeting old friends and making new ones! If the weather is reasonable, we may spend some time outdoors during lunch break, so please wear a sensible pair of shoes and bring a warm jacket.

The Southern Presbytery will meet, D.V., in Edinburgh Free Church (Continuing), 29 Arthur Street, Edinburgh, EH6 5AH, on Monday 1st April 2019 at 2.00pm for Ordinary Business and Election of Commissioners to the General Assembly.

6 April Knightswood Creation Conference

A Public Meeting by Creation Ministries International (CMI) will be held in Knightswood Free Church (Continuing), 361 Fulton Street, Knightswood Cross, Glasgow G13 2SP, on Saturday 6th April.

There will be two talks accompanied by visual presentations which will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A and a chance to browse a selection of literature or sign up to CMI subscriptions or news.

Talks will be given by Lucien Tuinstra and Gavin Cox on the following subjects:

At 3 pm: "Creation or Evolution: What do the Scriptures say?"

Then at 4:15 pm a talk on "Adam: Man, Myth, or Ape?"

Doors will be open from 2:30 pm, tea, and coffee will be provided between talks. All free of charge.

A bookstall run by CMI will be available and an opportunity to donate to the work will also be available

16 April Presbytery of the Outer Hebrides

The Presbytery of the Outer Hebrides will meet (D.V.) in Stornoway Free Church (Continuing) on Tuesday 16th April 2019 at 7.00pm for Ordinary Business and Election of Commissioners to the General Assembly.

19 April Spring Conference

The Spring Conference is due to take place in Inverness on Friday 19th April (D.V.) from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Culloden-Balloch Baptist Church – which is located at Wellside Road, Balloch, Inverness, IV2 7GS.

The aim of the Conference is to promote Biblical doctrine and foster Christian fellowship. Although the Conference is organised by the Free Church (Continuing) it is open to all and we welcome visitors from other churches and denominations. God willing there will be a creche and children's programme at the Conference. Booking options include a buffet lunch.

The title of this year’s Conference is The Biblical Doctrine of Male and Female in Todays Society. The speaker is Nigel Kenny of the Christian Institute and the subjects he will address are:

Session 1:

A biblical manifesto – staying salty and shining brightly 

Male and female roles in society – a biblical perspective on gender  

Session 2:

The origins and development of the transgender movement – when Harry became Sally

Time to Indoctrinate Everyone? – gender ideology in schools

Serpents and doves – how should the church respond?

There will time for questions after each session.

All are most welcome and we trust that the Lord will bless the teaching and fellowship to all who attend.

GAPoster2012The next General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) will meet (DV) at Liberton Kirk, Kirkgate, Edinburgh, EH16 6RY, on Monday 20th May 2019 at 6.00pm.

All are welcome to attend as visitors. It is expected that the Assembly will conclude on Thursday afternoon.

26 July to 2 August FCC Youth Camps

The annual FCC Youth Camps return to Badaguish Outdoor Centre, Aviemore, running from 26th July to 2rd August.

There will be a wide variety of outdoor activities along with Bible-study, quizzes and challenging and thought-provoking talks suitable for the respective age groups.
